Rosseti and ABB to Develop Concept of Digital Substation for Russian Electrical Grid
Rosseti, the Russian distribution grid operator, and ABB agreed to cooperate in order to carry out next generation digital grid projects in Russia, including those with advanced digital technologies of grid operating process automation.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, and by Irina Kozlova, President of Russian ABB, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Under the agreement ABB develops a concept of the 110 kV digital substation and produces an engineering model of digital grid. Besides that, ABB along with Rosseti will draft a proposal of digital substation and digital power distribution zone projects, based on ABB technologies and experience.
The agreement is expected to realize a high level of digitization, reliability and efficiency of electrical grid facilities. [rosseti.ru (rus)]
