XML Marker is capable of making overview of SCL files easier. When one loads SCD file into it, project structure with all the IEDs inside becomes available. And this structure is not only available in a tree, but also in a table structure:
User can see all the IEDs of the project and associated attributes, which, among other things, identify manufacturer and model of the given IED. Then user can dig into the details of the SCL file:More often it is of the interest for the user to check for available datasets and control blocks. And this can be one using the tools. It is only required to understand their location in IED data model. At glance user will see how available datasets are bound to specific GOOSE and Report control blocks.
