MOXA presented industrial computer with native PRP and HSR support
In Electric Power Networks of Russia-2014 exhibition MOXA presented DA-820 industrial computer which supports PRP and HSR redundancy protocols. Now process control systems manufacturers and suppliers can use this platform to offer workstations for integration in IEC 61850 station bus networks without redundancy boxes.
DA-820 is 19″ industrial Intel Core i7 computer with native PRP/HSR support. One more distinguishing feature of the product is a support of MMS protocol, so that computer may act as IEC 61850-8-1 (MMS) server.
MOXA has been quite active in the field of electric power utilities lately, introducing communication devices for digital substations. In previous Electric Power Networks of Russia-2014 exhibition MOXA presented IEC 61850-3 switches with integrated MMS server as well as redundancy boxes with PRP/HSR support (PT-G503-PHR-PTP).
